You are referring to the 195 and 196 wheels. Those are both optional styles. I love the 195s and will get them when my car arrives but they are way expensive at $3550 wheels and tires. Circle BMW in NJ will discount them 20%. I am thinking I may swap out the tires and buy only the 195 rims. If so I will offer the 162 rims only for sale. Do you think they would be less marketable that way?

Maybe only slightly less marketable but I think if the price is right the 162 wheels will sell thesmevles easily!

But seriously, for the crazy high prices of the OE wheels, have you considered aftermarket wheels? There's tons more selection and personally I think it's easy to find something better looking than the stock wheel selection. Also consider that OE wheels will drop in price like crazy because everybody runs around with them, but aftermarket wheels will keep their value better in the long run and you'll get back a ton more for them once you decide to sell them. Just my 2 cents

My thinking is that I: a) think the 195 is a sharp wheel b) don't want to go larger than 18s c) don't want to spend $500, 600, 700 +++ per, and d) don't want to experiment with untested fitments on a new model. That being said, I am open minded and will consider alternatives up until the time I pull the trigger on the purchase.

The 194s are nice. Very similar to the 195s. Do you know if they fit the e90? Are they 18s or 19s?

I initially put this out there to determine the interest level in these rims. People have asked for a price and I responded with a request for an offer. The only party to do so offered $150-$175 for one wheel. This is not even worthy of consideration, the figure, nor selling one wheel only. There is a set being offered on ebay at $1995 and has been there for a while with no action. Production was completed on my car 6/8 and I am awaiting shipping. Hopefully the car will arrive here early July. I have decided to purchase rims only, swap the tires, and sell only the 162 rims. I will post them on ebay starting at $1200 + shipping (or pick-up) with no reserve and see where the market is. I am a believer in the forces of a free market and will accept whatever the market determines the value to be. I will post a link here if anyone is interested in bidding. In the meantime if anyone here wants to make me an offer, I will listen. If I consider it reasonable I will accept it and forego the auction. Chris
