Remapping a 320d E90 163

I've recently bought a 07 57 320d m sport e90, unfortunately it's the 163bhp version, I was wondering where is the best place to get it remapped. I'm located in Preston but I'm about to move to Beverly East Yorkshire. Ideally I'd like a rolling road set up just to make sure the car is healthy before putting the extra strain on the turbo.

Thanks in advance for the input

Unfortunately the 163? Wouldn't say that was a bad thing..

However, a remap from emaps would be my recommendation. They come to you and run a full diagnostics before hand.

Obviously no RR, but you then again a RR won't tell you if your clutch is on its way out or if your turbo is about to blow..

Every tuner proceed diagnostic before remap ( or at least the good once )

Maybe he wrote that about 163 is because generally m47 are a bit worst than n47 177, n47 is better in any way ( i had both m47 and n47 ) but first production versions with n47d20a have big problems with timing chain .

How much tuners charge for remap in UK ? Avg prices ?

From the list of problems I have seen on forums, i deliberately avoided the n47 and bought the m47..

The last of the leading new with technical updates to iron out problems will also be better than a fresh out the box engine, hence timing chain issues.. Not to mention the timing chain is in the wrong place ha!

Obviously, any 330d would be better but still..

Thanks for the replies. I said unfortunately as it is on the over lap with the newer n47 which i'd have probably been happy with in terms of power.

Ideally I'd like somewhere local Hull.
