Actually, after reading the whole thread, the OP seems like a very decent guy and price has been amended....

On a serious note, good luck with the sale OP and don't bother too much about the negative comments...

I think more of the problem is the joining up just to sell your car. Not like we know of the car or you or what you have done with it.

Its not a "forum car" so to speak. So coming on and making out it's doing someone a deal prob got a few people's back up. Because of the lack of knowledge it's really just "another 335d" but without nav.

Initially that's what I thought he had done, but if you look at the join date it was some time ago - it's just that he hasn't posted much since joining - until now.

forum

Hi All

Yes, admittedly, i haven't been on here for a while, or in fact any other forums i have been members on, as i have been flat out with work and personal life.

I just put it up for sale on here as i thought forum members would appreciate the car and would prefer it to go to a decent buyer rather than just any old member of the public. To be honest, i'm not 'trying to offer a deal', i'm just trying to offer a nice 335d at what seems to be a very decent price and thought avid forum members looking to buy such a car would appreciate the money spent on it recently (consumables).

dbx335d - Just to clarity, i don't think it is the same as every other non nav 335d out there and have tried to provide as much information on differenciators as possible, such as the M3 spoiler, the lowered front spring perches and the colour combination (of which i have not seen any others). Though i admit, it's not so different i could advertise it as an M3 beater like yours

Cheers

Rob

Suggest you list the extra spec in a separate sections as been suggested, see other adds.

At first I thought Mega would be along to snap this up, but with no Nav...it would be a no, no?
(that could also be the reasons its the cheapest car in the UK, Nav adds on £1k at least.

Correct. No nav is no no. You lose all the advantage of a 58 plate (CIC nav) if the nav isn't fitted

That said it looks a lovely car and I can't quite believe some of the childish/flippant comments being posted here on someone's for sale thread!!

If you don't want the car; Don't post.

very true MEGA..

Valid points but as i've stated before, it's cheaper than any with sat nav by a long way, far more than the cost of a nav.

I did a search last night and only ones for sale at the same money seem to be 07 plate with 60k+ miles on, almost double the mileage. All others of the same plate and mileage seem to be £22k-£24k, so regardless of the nav, mine should surely sell?

I don't know why you think that. I had a hired 335d for two months recently and that comfortably achieved 36+ mpg.

Yeah my Evolve'd 335d would hit 30 combined when I drove it hard and late 30's/early 40's cruising on the motorway.

Classified ads should be locked by the OP after they have placed an ad, eliminating any chance of stupid,and/or pointless comments spoiling it. Genuinely interested parties can then communicate via Private message.

Can't see the point in locking the for sale threads, a bit of discussion does no harm and if someone is a genuinely interested buyer they will go ahead and enquire. If a car is priced right and is attractive it will find a buyer no matter what comments or observations are made.

It's very easy to get offended by critical posts (such as mine) on forums. However in this case the OP reacted positively and in the end the tone of the thread is overwhelmingly positive - as it should be because it is a nice car. The OP comes across as a good bloke as well - one who's pretty honest about his car.

I don't think peeps should be so sensitive about critical posts - if the OP came up to you in person and gave you that kind of spiel you'd take the piss out of him - if he was a mate you'd give him a bit of a ribbing and take him to task on any inaccuracies. No harm would be done, you'd all have a laugh and you'd see the positive aspects of the car and the bloke and get on with it without getting all uppity.

Seems to me that's kind of what happened here. Everyone agreed in the end that it's a very nice motor and I reckon the OP won't have too much trouble selling it in due course.

Final reduction to £19,999..

As the title says, i want rid of the car now so am taking a massive hit on it, rather than just have it sat there doing nothing on the drive whilst being insured.

So, I've dropped the price to £19,999 - strictly no offers on it at this price.

If it doesn't sell at that price in the next week, i'll be dropping it off at the BMW dealers, who will no doubt buff it and put it straight back out at £22k

Forget whether it has sat nav or not, it's a very cheap car now!

p.s, don't worry about offending me on here, i take it all with a pinch of salt, it's what forums are about...constructive advice, bit of banter and also support. Don't worry, people always take the piss out of me for something, so i'm used to it.

Cheers

Rob, what is the new car you are buying? I find Cooper BMW group a good buyer if the car does not match the 'unofficial' required spec i.e glasses booking this car with Nav. Worth a call to see if they will pay a bit more.

Also try Snow in Portsmouth as you don't need nav on the south coast as there are not enough roads to get lost.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Gibbo

I will be getting 320d msport coupe through the company.

No point in having the 335d on my drive as it would just be torture and take a lot for me not to drive that one!

I haven't actually been to any BMW dealers yet but i know the one in Stockport is keen to get it off me as they mentioned it when i had it serviced.

Just to let everybody know, i am about to start a new for sale thread for the M3 Competition wheels i had on the car

Think you are still going to struggle at 19999 - if you have an offer for near to this you should take it.
