Hi Everyone,

I would like to bring one question which is in regards to this engine - N52b30 and IS there any difference in different models.

For example the same engine :

200 kW Applications:

2006–2010 E83 X3 3.0i

Is there a way to change my software on the E90 330i with the one from 6 series so I can use the obvious full potential of the engine,my car is EU spec so i dont think there are mechanical differences between mine and 6 series engine.

Any ideas?

Be careful that you aren't comparing to the N53B30.

The factory tunes are basically identical. It appears to be the exhaust that is different on the higher output engines (like the 3.0si), giving them slightly more power. But you aren't going to get that by flashing to a different software.

Also, you couldn't take the software from an E63 and just flash it to your E90. There are a lot of parameters for each specific chassis, that would be incorrect for the E90. It probably wouldn't start or would be in limp mode with errors.

A friend's X5 N52 had oil cooler attached to oil filter housing and a different water pump with plastic propeller housing similar to 335 engine's.
