I'm looking to purchase a M3 Replica Front Bumper and have been looking for a body shop to prep, paint and install it. I've called several places and have been quickly rebuffed and told they only do collision work with oem equipment, not custom work. Does anyone have a recommendation on a shop not too far from Princeton that would do this kind of work?

There is no custom body work involved in installing a rep m3 bumper any decent shop with half a brain can do it. You would need custom body work if you were to fit an oem m3 bumper, replicas are made to fit the e9x and as long you buy from a reputable vendor you shouldn't have any problems getting it installed.

I know! That's what is frustrating, but I've been told twice that they'll paint it, but won't install it as they only work with OEM parts. I think the issue is that the only shops I've had contact with in the area were due to collision work I had done via insurance. Anyway, I have a PM from a local guy and will investigate further.

Did mine myself and it was pretty easy as long as the rep is good quality. Took me an hour to test fit the bumper. Once I confirmed it fit I got it painted and then just installed it. If you have any mechanical ability its not hard. There's probably less than 10 bolts. If you have no mechanical ability then go to MAC.
