WTB: Hunter's Smoked Overlays

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Like the title states, I've been looking for Hunter's smoked headlight overlays for quite some time. They make for the perfect look in my opinion aside from buying euros.

Example pics can be seen here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=walkedu

I tried PMing hunter to no avail, but if anyone has a set for sale...or knows of the material he used, the info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looks like the DIY tint overlays that some people have done. If I remember right I think someone made a template for the tint with tape, took it off then cut out the tint and applied it. Just my guess tho, not sure thats what he did, def looks similar tho

no. the DIY tint overlays are different than what Hunter offers. He had a shop manufacture vinyl overlays, so the cut is precise.

OP, PM Hunter directly, if still no reply, then EAG335i, AFAIK, he was partner with Hunter in that venture.

Hey, I'm also looking to pick these up if they are still around. I have pm'ed hunter several times on both of his member names and haven't received any response. It would be helpful if anyone can get to the source, even if it were to just conclude that these overlays are no longer available. That way I can either quit wasting my time looking for them, or hopefully get a pair. I'll try to pm eag335i.

I just did the tint DIY this past weekend and it looks exactly like that. I had never used tint film before, but after a couple of trial and error runs, it looks fantastic. Give it a shot! I used 20% for mine, but you could probably go darker if you want it completely black.
