As we've said before, if you need an unlock, just email us and we can email you a special firmware file that clears the VIN lock. This is nothing new. But it is a short-term solution until the new firmware is released. I will be back to the office mid next week to put the final touches on the new twin turbo firmware. I admit that it has taken longer to finish than anticipated. Main updates include:

-No Vin locking
-PWM meth will be functional on flexfuel map
-Will support external MAP sensor (any map sensor, not just 3.5bar) for high 20+psi
-No rough cold starts when running straight E85 (requires ProcedeFlash)
-Methanol purge function active (just like the ST firmware)

Best Regards,
Shiv
Shiv,

Check your records on that please. I just paid you $46 via PayPal after you initially tried to charge me $121 to vin unlock. I emailed you specially asking about this. What's the story? That and you told me to ship it to you so I paid for that. I specifically asked if you could just email me the firmware...your guys/you said no.

Question for guys who have unlocked the procede. I have someone who want to purchase my procede(I just recently switched to cobb). Do I need to reinstall the procede into my car then load the unlocking file or can he just install it in his vehicle and load up the file to unlock?

Thanks

How long ago was this? You paid $46 for shipping and the VIN unlock was free? Just trying to understand what went on, for the record.

They should definitely be more open about what's going on instead of preying on the less-informed to make a quick buck. Some get it free and some pay? What's the deal? Why do Shiv and Garret openly post openly about the firmware while the folks answering the phone act like you're crazy?

Im afraid I don't know who you are by your user name. Not do I handle such matters myself. You have either been talking to Robert or Garrett, both of whom can correct the situation if indeed there is one. While I'd like to see things sorted myself immediately, it's not something I can do without being in the office (Im not even on the same continent right now ) and knowing additional personal billing info. I suggest contacting the person you were corresponding with as they can explain if any exemptions applied, correctly or incorrectly. The free vin unlock is a relatively new thing that came in to play when we announced the announced the development of new vin unlock firmware (that has yet to be released). This was to avoid the scenario of anyone paying for an unlock only to find that waiting for the new update would have accomplished the same. Prior to that it was usually only provided on a case by case (for instance, when a customer changes vehicles). I'm sure any issue can be fixed quickly if caused by miscommunication or error.

Best Regards,
Shiv

I'm sending an email to Vishnu tuning sales now referring to this thread and we'll see what happens. More to follow. I've been known to draw negative conclusions too quickly in the past so I'm going to see how this pans out before I post to all. Lucky for me I keep every email I've ever sent to everyone.

Shiv, can we expect non-beta maps with this update as well?

I deleted my post. I can't seem to find the file. Sorry guys. But if you email Vishnu tuning, they should be able to send you the file.

Sorry for the confusion.

The maps will continue to be non-beta. It's is only the firmware which is changing (providing more functionality/features).

I emailed Vishnu sales last Friday morning and still haven't heard back. At this point they are either ignoring me/us or they are circling the wagons because we may have uncovered a discrepancy in what Shiv thinks his company is doing and what they are actually doing when the chief is out of town. I'm patiently standing by to see which is the case.

I know you are probably busy helping Rombin, but this is still on schedule for release today? I wanted to install my s/h Procede this weekend, so I could get it up and running for a couple of weeks, then once I am happy with it, order the Flex Fuel E85 kit.

Hi guys, if you need the dedicated vin unlock firmware, just email sales@vishnutuning.com. Still finishing up the last details of the new firmware. It's a little tricky because we have integrated flexfuel and standard gasoline functions in it. As well as pwm meth. And also have provisions for cars with an without base flashes. Lots of stuff to test before release. Not something I can rush unfortunately.

Shiv,

Thanks for the update. As I understand most of flex fuel integration and meth is for rev 3 only, and not 2.5? Are there any updates for 2.5 besides unlocking and maybe a base flash later on with the open flash project?

The rev2.5 and rev3 both run the same firmware and maps. The firmware recognizes what platform it is being run on and enables/disables features according to hardware capability. The openflash project will provide for all types of ProcedeFlash files (standard, flexfuel, 50/50 E85, etc,.)

Shiv,

Any ballpark estimate on when new firmware is coming out? I just installed my 2.5 and unlocked via file that Robert sent me
