Holding the stop/start

I was curious today and wondered what happened if I pushed and held the stop/start while the car was on. It turned off, duh, key ejected automatically, all doors unlocked.

Compared to before, I had to hit the button and manually eject the key and then all doors would unlock.

But now I'm wondering is it because I coded the car to unlock all doors when I eject the key that this (holding the start/stop) happens? I already forgot how it was stock

Anyone ever try this?

Yes, I believe it's the coding. My doors do not unlock when I hold the button.

Heh, and for me the key fob ejects, but only the drivers door unlocks. Tried to enable coding for all doors to unlock but still no luck.

Because you need to change the settings in your bc stalk menu to unlock all doors when your press unlock once on the keyfob.

This will solve the problem your are having now.

Unfortunately this won't work for me. I don't have the BC option in the wiper stalk to change any of these settings. My car was built in July 2005. Those BC options came out in cars built after Sept 05.

Been trying to find a way to 'enable' the BC option for this, but haven't had any luck. May not even exist in the computer I have right now.

Excellent - this worked for me. I coded this feature last year and figured that it just didn't work on my car. Thanks Desi
