Anyone got a Kärcher UK K2.20M??
Hi guys,
Now I've got my new baby I need to keep her clean and looking tip-top. I've been thinking about getting a Kärcher washer. Some of the larger look like they might be overkill, does anyone here have the smaller washer like THIS? Is it any good and is it good enough to use with Snow Foam and a Foam Lance? Any tips much appreciated. EDIT: Has anyone used the Karcher foam lance? Last edited by toxicnerve; 02-20-2010 at 05:30 AM.. |

I bought a Karcher last year which came with extra accessories like the T-Racer etc but i havnt actually used the pressure washer itself yet. I have a PowerCraft pressure washer that is more powerful but the hose and gun started to leak and it was costing me about £30 to buy a new Karcher hose and gun set. So instead i bought a new Karcher with accessories for £40.
I have the same foam lance from cleanyourcar and it is really good. When washing the cars i always snow foam first using the lance, leave it to do its stuff and then rinse off. Snow foam doesnt always give a clean finish so after rinsing i have to wash using the two bucket method. That karcher looks quite small but i think it should be good enough to use with the foam lance. Those wheels on it will make it much easier to move it around. I wouldnt bother with the Karcher foam lance though, as it isnt as good or the same as the proper snow foam lances. |

If you look carefully the B&Q brand is eaxctly the same as Karcher. I bought the "little" B&Q one 5 years ago and it has been faultless. Agree the bigger ones are overkill for a car.

Buy an extension hose for it and you can go round the whole car without moving the unit. |

No I don't. Just use the washer to hose the car down and then us Meguiars Gold Class shampoo. Have seen the snow foam, rinse, foam procedure. Does it really make that much of a difference?

Bought a Nilfisk C120 from Amazon a few weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001TUYV0U. The patio cleaner did a good job with the slime on my sandstone patio, and the dirt blaster nozzle works nicely too. Need to get a foam lance for the car now...

I just picked up that exact set from my local Machine Mart for £105. Need to get a few bits (foam lance, foam and various other stuff) from Clean Your Car sometime during the week. Will spend next weekend giving the motor a bit of TLC (weather permitting). |

Just checked my invoice - it was £90 from Amazon when I bought it, so a bit of a bargain I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the foam lance when you buy one...

Bought my Stihl cold water machine a year ago, one powerful bastard it is too!
You need a decent length of hose, 20m is about right, nowt worse than not enough reach around the car.

20m sounds a bit extreme to me!
The Nilfisk I got comes with a 6m hose, you can just move the pressure washer if you don't quite make it surely?! I will order the bits from Clean Your Car later this week. Fingers crossed the weather is decent (i.e. dry) next weekend, hopefully I can give the foam lance etc a good test and hopefully put a decent shine on the car. |
