I wish that were the case but it is far from the truth. There are many cars in every area that are much faster. My car is no slouch but it is far from a dominator. I personally know of many cars that would leave mine looking like it was standing still. That's not to say it is a slouch though

Lol I just love the sound of the V10. However after talking with CaptnMo for a few tonight he definitely gave me some good advice which is great appreciated.

Let's be real people, 335s are fast, but they aren't M cars. Night and day difference on every aspect.

As Huyner stated in a straight line my 335i would have definitely walked my m3 all day long, but it definitely doesn't handle anywhere near the M and I don't have to worry about all of the issues anymore that the 335i has even though I do miss it!!

Maybe you should get a Supra, cuz then you wouldn't have the time nor the money to build it!
That's the ticket!

This arguement again? Nobody even said anything about comparing the 2 cars except for Pat saying that he wanted a car to beat everyone and me saying that there would be a few in the area that would beat even an M5. I don't ever claim my car to be nicer than an M or faster around a track because I personally don't care about those things. I bought my car to be fast in a straight line when I want it to be and it does exactly that and better than any M I have come across. If I really did care about the status of an M or the corner carving ability I would have bought a Porsche hands down. You say night and day difference on every aspect but I haven't come across an M yet that will beat me in the straight line from a dig which was my only, and I repeat ONLY reason for buying this car. I could honestly care less that it is even a BMW! I'm a car enthusiast not a brand or marque whore.

Ha. I love how this has gotten to the point of making fun of Pat's inability to keep a car longer than a few months. Trevor's right. It's about what you want out of your car. Personally guys, I wanted a car that I can do anything with. Luckily, we have the fortunate problem of having M cars and Series cars that fit the mold.
And I'll be the first to admit it, I'm a car enthusiast AND a brand whore. I love that I drive a BMW and that I've influenced others to buy BMWs. That being said, I'm up for getting a stable full of different types of cars. |

I like your M3, Pat. Whether you choose to keep it or trade it in for an E60 M5, you win either way. The M5 is an awesome powerful car, but the dual clutch transmission in your M3 is teh hotness. Both are incredible machines. I wish my car had a dual clutch transmission! One day.....When I have enough for a GT-R or 997.2 Turbo haha.
