We've had okay experience with BMW of Bellevue. They've been very generous with CPO warrany repairs and always communicate well. car is mostly stock but has supension/exhaust and they don't seem to give a crap about mods as far as I can tell.

only bad experience: they washed the car (our mistake for not telling them not to) and got some kind of cleaner overspray on one of the DPEs. The polished aluminum didn't take kindly to it. Took it back, and they "fixed" it by doing some kind of acid wash down of the whole wheel. It stripped the cleaner residue, but holy crap it did a number on the aluminum and the DPE center cap.

We're going to re-polish the wheel by hand and hope it comes back to life/luster. Center cap is toast though.

Deff Seattle, NW doesn't give you the service you expect from a European brand. Even though I'm in graham to Tacoma, still drive up to Seattle.

Ive had good experiences with Alex @ BMW Seattle. Someone else mentioned a guy in fleece best, everytime I've seen him that's what he's worn.

I've had an issue with BMW Seattle but it wasn't a SA. I tried to get my key read data from Seattle and the young male receptionist told me that BMW USA Corporate bans them from giving out key read data. A quick call to BMW USA proved that that excuse was a complete fabrication and it is up to individual dealers whether they want to give that out or not. I would've been fine if they were just honest and said their policy is not to do that, but they had to pass responsibility to BMW USA. Annoying, but BMW NW gave me the key read data no problem.

Your Service Advisor can make a huge difference here.

"Alex" at Seattle and "Clif" at Bellevue have both given me excellent service over the years in understanding what I wanted and ensuring the work was done properly. They are not hesitant to get one of their shop foremen into the discussion as necessary. (I especially remember how Clif worked with BMW NA in handling my first HPFP failure in my early-build E92 335i.) Perhaps most telling is that both SA's are car guys who get it. That alone goes a long way for me.

I've only been to Bellevue a few times so far, Clif is a pretty cool guy and I'd recommend him again, just don't have your car washed if you have aftermarket wheels. As 'rennis' said above, they ruined one of my DPE's, and their "fix" just made it (and the brakes/everything behind the wheel) worse. Just have to remember to say NO to the wash.

My experience at NW has been great, granted i'm not a BMW snob so my standards may be low. My CA has integrity, follows up with me after three years, knows his shit, and is just a genuinely decent dude. Service has always taken care of me. My SA has always communicated well, paid attention to ensuring i'm satisfied, and ensured that I got respectable loaners. That was enough to bring me back for a second BMW.

So when you guys say "mod friendly" does that mean if I take my 335i with AFE intake in for waste gate warranty issues in next week I wont get told to GTFO?

Seattle> bellevue > bmwnw. Bmwnw is the closest to me so I tend to go there more because I don't have time to drive all the way up to Seattle but I always end up regretting it. Their service horrible and I've had nothing but problems from them. I can't remember the last time I walked out of there satisfied.

I have no experience with the service dept at Seattle, but I couldn't say enough good things about their sales dept. I went in to test drive a car they had- didn't love the car, but I really wanted to buy it just so the sales guy would get credit. Was by far one of the best experiences I've had with a salesman at a dealership, aside from the dealer I just bought my new car from. Would gladly buy a car from them in the future.

From reading all the good reviews about the service at BMW Seattle, and after my sales experience there, ill definitely be taking my new car to BMW Seattle for service as much as I can. Thumbs up to them

Well it came down to either an actuator or a waste gate... If it's an actuator I owe BMW $3k if its the waste gate I dont owe a dime but at least Alex informed me of my options before they tear into the engine to find out. Unfortunately I am not willing to take a $3,000 gamble especially when I plan on upgrading the turbo's. I think it's pretty shitty how BMW Corporate set that up... It completely talked me out of going forward with the recall because there might be a chance it's an actuator to which is a part of the turbo assembly but not included under the recall. I got a brand new 328 sport as a loaner and I dont know WTF BMW has been thinking but this car reminded me of a Dodge Charger I recently rented. The steering on it felt like a cold limp dead fish.

+1. BMW Seattle hands down for both sales and service experience. Leased 2 cars from them and will definitely come back in the future.

Currently at BMW Seattle, SA is great! They are replacing one of my tail lights with a faulty LED bar.
