I just remembered, I have a brand new Bentley repair manual. Never even used it. Bought it a couple months ago for like $100 but will sell for $75 if anyone is interested.

My car is at bimmer MW...overnight after my oil change. Not boosting (gauge reads about 1.5 lbs) then goes check engine light. Hoping it's a sticky waste gate (warranty) and that the huge front lip smashing dip my brother took the other day when I let him borrow the car didn't mess anything up (intercooler/piping). Found that little tid bit out today after I texted him asking about it.

I first noticed that the corner of my lip was busted up when it was loaded onto a flat bed last night (flat front passenger tire on I-215 that the emergency kit did nothing to fix). New front pair of PSSs only set me back $650 this morning.

And may think of swapping in a MSport front if my bumper is really messed up (haven't had an opportunity to really check it over).

It's just money, right? I'll have it back in perfect shape someday soon...

Hey I want to get this Drive going before the weather turns bad.
I want to propose this Saturday - September 8th @ 11:00am for drive.
Let me know who is interested and I'll set it up. I think a minimum of 4 people saying yes will make it a go which includes myself.

Here are the details:

This Saturday 9/8/2012
11:00am
Olympus Hills Mall Parking Lot

If you are in vote on one of the two routes we can take that might be fun.

Route #1: (My vote)
- Foothill to Emmigration Canyon
- Emmigration to East Canyon
- East Canyon to Morgan I-80
- Eat in Morgan
- I-80 back down Parleys

Route #2:
- Parley's Canyon to Park City
- Eat
- Park City to Heber
- Heber to Provo Canyon
- I-15 to home

Thanks,
Patrick

In for a drive.

And the fix on my car? Charge pipe clamp slipped a little and was leaking under low boost...making my car spring the CEL. Easy fix...and Bimmer MW's bill? On the house.

If the drive is off, I may go to cars and coffee. And yes Parker, still going on. Scott was even there a couple weeks ago.

Figure my car is still a 8.5/10 (probably optimistic). A few very sunny pictures from today. I spent a couple of hours detailing wheels (yes, the drive through washes are hard on them...and they haven't had a wax in a few years), and also added a little sparkle to the headlights (didn't want to take the time to wet sand, but probably should to take care of the pitting). Car is just a couple months shy of 5 years old now, 85k miles, and still puts a smile on my face when I want it to. We've come a long way together. I really have no clue what I'd do next.

From the first winter, when I thought the tinted headlights and tails were a good look...

And from today...

New fronts...rears when I bald the current ones...

Waiting for the season (although don't think this car has ever been here in the winter...)

Really like them so far. Quieter than the vreds (even though I'm running them in the back yet) and seem very sticky running the canyons today.

For freeking ever. Sonax, wash, tar removal, polish, wax...and looking at them now could go back and take them the last 10% if I felt I needed to. Unfortunately the water spots didn't just wash off. Really like my new buffer though. Jo's wheels are next.
