30k miles never changed the oil
as far as i know whenever i take my car into the dealer because some icon is flashing on the dash they have never changed the oil.
ive seen them once put a quart of oil because it read that it was low. now its at 30k miles and the oil icon says add 1+quart because its on minimum. i put a quart of castrol synthetic 5-30. The meter still says minimum... should i add another quart? |

I seriously doubt your dealer would let you go that long between fluid changes if they have seen your car since it turned 15k.
Call your dealership and they'll give you info. I heard a story of a car that didn't get oil changed till 30k from my dealership. That car's powertrain warranty went bye-bye because the motor was all sludged up. |

well maybe they did changed it, the papers they give back dont say anything about a oil change. This car is a lease until sept. should i just add another quart now and just leave it alone for 3 months?

It's impossible that the dealer haven't changed the oil yet. But still, love your car dude. Take care of it even if it's a lease.

your service dept knows more than the internets. Call them. They answer infinitely dumber questions daily. Hell, call a SD or SF dealer if you don't want your dealer to have a clue about what's up.

Don't add another quart yet right after putting one quart in. I believe the dipstick shows an average reading not an instantaneous reading, so it takes time for the new oil to register. You are likely overfilling if you put in 2 qts
