Summer set up for 335d

I'm having a hard time deciding / figuring out what I can put on my car for the summer set up. I have a 335d (non-sport). I had the car delivered with the stock 17" rims, but had the dealer put winters on instead of all-season.

I definately want to go with 18s, or maybe 19s, and would like a staggered set up too. There is so much information out there, and honestly I'm lost. What size of tire is the 'right' fit??

Thanks,

I have also been looking at wheels for summer. When I save enough, I plan on purchasing either VMR V718 or V701 for my E90 without sport package. staggered 19 inches. Check out EAS europeanautosource.com They have tire recommendations for each of the wheels. Hope this helps

If you are going 18"s the stock sizes are 225/40/18 Front and 255/35/18 rear.

You selling your 17" wheels?

Keeping my 17s. They have winters on them.
I'm aware of the stock set up. I'm just wondering what my limitations are? I can go 18x8.5 rims. Can I go 19x9.5?? And with what size tire?? I've used the calculator on the wheel and tire page, but that only tells me how much space i loose on the inside and outside.

I guess i'll word my question this way. With a stock 17" setup and no sport package, how much can I loose on the strut side / fender side before i get rubbing? Does sport / non-sport change the clearance?
Thanks,

Common setups that always clear 8-8.5" up front (18" or 19") and 8.5"-9.5" rear (18" or 19") offsets vary but typically are in the area of 30-40mm. Of course more aggressive setups are possible but this is a good general range to start with.
