Mid December Co
Hey all,
How's the weather in CO mid-December in the CO Springs/Denver area? How far is the closest snowboarding mtns? Will I be okay driving in a rental with zero snow driving experience?

As for snow.....could be 50-60 degrees, could be 3 feet of snow. Its happened before. A few years ago I was 'stuck' in Vegas for an extra 3 days because of a blizzard. First flight cancelled into Denver was mine, when I got back 3 days later I had to dig my old car out 4 foot drifts at the parking lot and then make it home somehow, and when I got home the side streets werent even plowed yet. It was insane. In CO, the weather changes on a dime. Im hoping for no snow. My snow tires are going on the car this weekend, therefore, we shouldnt get any more snow!

^^^ What he said. Anyways, the closest is Loveland, but I would recommend driving another 20-30 minutes and actually going to a resort worth ski'ing at. IE Keystone, Copper, A-Basin are all within about a 1:30 trip from downtown depending on Traffic. Keystone has night ski'ing too and is usually open until 10 on the weekends
