New windshield

Hy guys I had a rock crack my windshield yesterday and was wondering if anyone has had their windshield replaced before? Thanks

Yup, had the dealer replce my windshield - wouldn't take a BMW to one of those aftermarket glass shops, heard to many horror stories about incorrect install, leaking, etc.

Replacement was under insurance with $25 deductible in my case. I have Nationwide with 'replace parts with ONLY BMW OEM' clause, so there were no questions asked as to where I was taking it...

i got my replaced through geico, in FL its free, Safelite replaced it with newer version with UV film and neon glare, safelite didnt put one molding back on and now i have a case and they are coming back and forth to fix it!!

I would only take it to the dealer or whomever the dealer uses to replace their glass for them. Usually the dealerships contract this out. I would not go to anyone else especially safelite or safeco. Safeco did a horrible job on my previous BMW. Went to the dealers contractor and was perfect.
