If they check for readiness you will fail with Can clear on. you need dpfix and drive for some time to have the readiness ok again.

Same question... which DPfix are you talking about? Shouldn't the JB4 already have a DPfix in it? if you turn auto clear off will the DPfix in the JB4 be enough to pass the readiness? what mode does the JB4 have to be in (bypass or any map)??? Ive been reading threads like this all day and no one seems to answer these simple questions ?!?!

The JB4 clears any CEL codes, but does not set the readiness needed for emissions check.
As Enrita stated you need the BMS DPFix to ensure you don't fail the inspection. I picked one up used in the FS section for 40. Money well spent.

I've never failed emissions, but in AZ i know they are stricter than other states, if you fail you aren't fined, correct? Sorry for hijack.

There is only one DPFix, purchased for $80 or so new from BMS. For states that check emissions by plugging in to your OBDII port and checking readiness, it's the only way a catless DP will pass that. The JB4 and other tunes can clear codes thrown by catless DPs, but that's not the same as preventing them and allowing readiness to get set. |
