I'd imagine we'd see it in the upcoming mini-BMW. I'm curious to see how it does. BMW is doing pretty damn good things with efficiency, and it would be interesting to see what they could do with 1.5L in three-cylinder form.

And when your aim is efficiency, who cares if it only has 3 cylinders anyway? The guy with the less efficient 4-cylinder car is better than the dude with the more efficient yet equally quick (read:slow) 3-cyl? Numbers are numbers, whether they be efficiency or performance, regardless of how many cylinders the powerplant has.

By that logic, why not buy a Maro SS and mods for the price of the 335?

I hardly remember the Isetta being a blazingly fast machine, nor the 2002, yet both are important parts of BMW history.

I would normally agree. I think BMW has really gotten the memo in terms of weight. Look at the new X3. The car lost 43lbs! It is a start. I dont think any BMW car has ever lost weight.

This is great news, I need a new weed eater. I think BMW might be taking this too far. I rather see them take weight reduction extremely seriously and put in a turbo 4.
