Upgraded TD04L twin turbos for less than oem????? Take a LOOK!

There's a WhatsApp group with several guys running the 17t Chinese turbos past 10,000 miles. They have nothing but good things to say about them.

I would maybe consider putting those on a clapped $4,000 N54 for fun. I would never upgrade unless it was a single turbo build, personally.
