if the car didn't come with a push-to-start/stop, yeah, I would agree. But it does so it doesn't look that bad honestly

I agree with you on it looking horrible with any of the wood trims. I'd stick with black if in that case. If you're curious, MB has a pic of the red against wood trim on their site. Not a fan...

Luckily, I have brushed interior. =)

TBH it doesnt go along... Walnut itself doesn't really go along with 3 series unless its the cream interior, that looks pretty luxury and classic.... but still 3 series is like a little sport sedan I think you should just spent 20$ and 1 hour to wrap all your trims to whatever color... not bright orange/blue/green of course... like gloss black, brushed silver, dry carbon, gloss carbon

installed mine last week.

TIPS:
1. the tabs of the push button are on the sides, not top
2. the new button cover is not exactly center. Once installed, it tilts to the left, which is annoying.
3. be careful when removing the stock black cover. I will likely remove the blue cover and revert back to the stock one.

I ordered mine from x-ph.com and it was cheap junk quality, the clips where way thinner than stock and just broke when they tried to slide over the minute little clips that hold it on, contacted them and they said go screw, so don't waste your money supporting that kind of customer support.

I might try IND for it, always have had good luck with them and thiers appears to be better quality in the pictures.

Wow, I didn't have any trouble with mine but I didn't have to call customer service.

It's not worth $30, $8 tops. I still need to put back the stock black one.

Garage List
Great DIY, I used in reference and installed mine last night. installed the red button on mine and decided to wrap my brushed aluminum trim to carbon fiber.

Yes I think blue or red is to much.

A checkered flag design would be nice IMO
