Second cat delete

I have an e92 328i and wondering if deleting my secondary cat would fail the smog check in CA?

I did the 2nd cat delete a while ago but have only done one smog test since
CA does the obd2 test now so my car didnt even get sniffed but theres no sensors after the 2nd cats so my obd was good
Almost failed inspection tho bc under the hoods theres a sticker that says we have 4 cats total, the guy only saw 2 and almost failed me
If you’re gonna do it just go to a shop that does obd2 only and remove that little sticker from under your hood

I see. Did deleting the 2nd cat made your exhaust louder? I have a PE at the moment .

I passed smog with no secondary cats, no resonator, and no muffler. Deleting secondary cats will make your exhaust sound and pop louder.

I wanna say probably but I’m not sure
When I cut them off I also cut off the muffler and resonator at the same time
But have done just a muffler and resonator on another 328 and the 2nd cats did make a difference from the one to this one

How bad would it smell if I am already have dps and delete my secondaries? I am dealing with the dps smell cause its only from time to time but heard that with secondaries gone it will be constant

It will be worse. You're eliminating any chance of converting exhaust gases, so it's going to smell like a tractor.
