Exclamation Did I install this BMW OEM base & bike rack correctly?? help!

Just took about a week to get everything in, but it's complete.
I'm just looking for some feedback to see if I did this correctly.
I've looked through various forums and noticed people have them set-up so many different ways.

Is there a set way to have these set-up? to avoid wind noise? stability?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks! Kevin.

They look right, you have the front/rear bars on correct. The wind noise over 60mph is horrible... Better look into a fairing. Thule is the only one that fits (kinda).

Looking good tho-

I see what your saying about the gap but your rack bars are installed backwards/opposite!!?!
Aren't the bars with the fins on the bottom supposed to be in front to help with
wind noise?

Yes, the ones with the fins are for the front. Not sure about you guys but after about 6k miles two of my fins fell off. And maybe, just maybe its even loader now.

Looks right. Not hard to mess up. Just make sure that the correct bar is in the front and back. What kid of bike attachments are those? I have the road bike ones, looks different.

Looks great but here's a tip: take the drivers side and turn it the other way. Then it will be a lot easier to load the drivers side bike. I had mine set up like yours.......

I had seen an x5 in the city and always wondered why his was set up the way I said to do yours. It took a 9 hour drive to Arcadia, Maine then a trip to Boston and back to NY. I was going over the George Washington bridge when it hit me lol
