adaptive headlight malfuncion question~!!

I have 2008 335xi and it comes with headlight with arrow sign comes on my dash and navi screen. it says adoptive headlight malfunction.

anybody know what is going on with this?

ur adaptive headlight xenon bulb isn't turning with ur steering wheel..

so replacing the headlight is the only way to fix the problem?

you could so a little search... figure out the mechanism that usually goes out and replace it.

I got this error when i took out my after market air intake and put in my stock air box back in accidentally splicing some of the wires. however I never got around to fix it and ended up trading my car in for 335i

I get that same warning on occasion, then on restart - it's gone! It seems so infrequent, I don't consider it a high priority problem. I might mention it the next time I go in for any service.

My front left headlight had the same issue -- got stuck pointing right (giving my car a little bit of a lazy eye). After a trip to BMW they told me it was covered under the extended warranty, and it was a $50 deductible to replace the adaptive headlight motor. Been fixed about 6 months now, and works great!

Same issue. Under cpo they replaced the headlight assembly as it says on my service paperwork.
