VRSF stainless steel inlets
Hello everyone,
Santa is coming around soon and Im looking at getting the VRSF ss inlets for my 2013 335is. Im wondering, how difficult Is the install with relocating the coolant tank and the vacuum canisters? Is a tune required? Are these any better of an option compared to VRSF’s OEM location silicone inlets? Thanks! PS...power gains? EDIT: Did research and some people complain that the stainless steel inlets have problems slipping off the turbos. I see VRSF has passenger side silicone inlets as well. will these be better? I would go with silicone because stainless steel thermal conductivity is 50 to 100 times higher than silicone. You should have less conductive heat transfer with silicone inlets reducing your IAT for turbos

Thanks man, the more research I do, the more the silicone inlet kit looks like the right purchase. Plus, its not on back order like the ss one!

Is there any difference between the two? I feel like the passenger side inlets would be more efficient in terms of both air volume and IAT's. I will look into the RB inlets for sure though.

I have the passenger side Precision raceworks inlets and i love them but with the stock turbos its my understanding that the stock location inlets are better for flow and temps as our little turbos make alot of heat when pushed to the max so putting the inlets over there right on top of all that heat isnt as good as the trade off of less distance< i have a wagner evo 2 comp fmic and im running 20psi and that intercooler can hardly keep my temps with 15degrees of ambiant temp not sure if its the relocated inlets or just pushing the turbos to hard

with relocated inlets your IAT will increase dramatically when idling or slow driving but your air flow will increase under WOT. I live in Cali and my car get's stuck in traffic pretty often so I think relocated inlets in not a good idea for me but if I could avoid all that traffic I would go for relocated

Precision race works inlets are very nice! come in stock size or 2 inch! been running them with no problems.
If you have a JB4 you can tune with Map 6. IAT will not change that much you'll be fine. Also you can delete the vacuum canisters if you don't drive up and down mountains a lot.
