AE Question

Hey guys,
Ran some searches in this section but I'm unable to find an answer. Apologies in advance if this has been asked and answered before.

Earlier today I saw an E92 as well as an E93. Both of these vehicles had the whiter AE that's more prevalent on newer BMW. I'm wondering if it's possible to get the same lighting output from those vehicles to work on my vehicle (09' 328i Sedan). Is it a simple bulb switch or a whole different animal altogether?

I know aftermarket options exist, but it's extremely hard to judge over photographs. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it!

Thanks in advance.

What your probably referring to is a full aftermarket replacement ring, versus a plug and play bulb replacement. For this you need to open the headlight and replace the OEM Rings with a LED Based ring, such as OSS. This is a custom setup that will provide the brightest and most even look, similar to the newer OEM LED Angel Eyes

The other option is to go with a plug and play option. This will be much less expensive and is fully reversible as well .

Thanks for the reply. I would prefer a plug and play option that's at least bright enough to function as my DRLs. As I am up in Canada, DRL are required so I'm looking to replace the stock halogen ones with an LED alternative. What are my choices in this case?

Well we offer the LUX H8 V4 angel eyes and these will probably be the brightest option available, much brighter then the stock bulbs, and they are 100% no dimming as well. We can get them shipped up to Canada right away for you.

OP just note that due to the way the ring is designed, it will never look as bright as the newer cars.

I had some LED's in mine and during the day they just washed out. The off white/almost yellow gave better visibility and I swapped the halogen back in .

YMMV
