duplicate road tax disc

we have lost a road tax disc and need to apply for a new one... on the form it asks for the vehicle 'tax class'

does this mean the VED band? i.e. F
type of vehicle i.e. Private Car
or 'petrol' i.e. DVLA Tax Class 48

bumpf that comes with the form is bloody unhelpful!

cheers lads

I have also googled it and the websites are equally unhelpful

Maybe I'll just leave the field blank and ask at the post office

i know the data (as in the original post), i.e. "Band F", "Private Car", "Tax Class 48", etc... just not which one to put in blasted field..

it is simply entitled "Tax Class" which imo is quite ambiguous

Update: As I said previously the current disc has *PLG* as Tax Class, just received my new Tax Disc, Tax Class is now *PC*, presume it is now Private Car.
