I wrote a quick INPA script to read the misfire counters from my MSD81 DME (IJE0S):


To install the script, copy the MSD80DI_808.IPO file to the INPA SGDAT folder and then edit the E90.ENG file in the INPA CFGDAT folder.

In the [ROOT_MOTOR] section of the E90.ENG file, add two lines similar to the following:

ENTRY=   MSD80DI_808,MSD81 Misfire Detection,
ENTRY=,,
ENTRY=   MSS60,MSS60        for S65 (M3),
ENTRY=,,
ENTRY=EKPM60_2,Fuel Pump EKP,

I don't know if it works with MSD80 DMEs. In theory, it should work for vehicles with N53 engines as well.

Doesn't seem to be accurate with the MSD80; although it is reading something.
