What's on you MP3 player?
Looking for some suggestions to give me an idea what to fill mine with.
Everytime I sit down and do it, I just keep putting the same albums on all the time. I've got a very wide taste in music so very open. What makes the top of your playlist? |

Deftones - Diamond Eyes
Probably my favourite album right now, great driving music. If you're into prog rock then try something by Tides From the Nebula, they have been a staple on my iPod in recent times. |

I'm amazed at the lack of music interest here.
Come on admit the CD in the car just now? I was at my parents at the weekend and most of my CDs have been stored down there. I filled my CD changer up with some early David Grey, Best of James, Ed Hardcourt, Bruce Springsteen. My band of the moment is The Vaccines. Frank Turner seems to hit the top of my playlist for months now. Anything goes though. |

Great rock band in the tradition of Deep Purple, Free and Led Zep is Black Country Communion fronted by Glen Hughes with Joe Bonamassa on guitar, Derek Sherinian on keys and Jason Bonham on drums. A true rock supergroup! Off to see them on Tuesday.
Black Stone Cherry- Between The Devil & the Deep Blue Sea is also excellent. Joe Bonamassa's last solo album Dust Bowl is also very good. Listening to Foo Fighters- Wasting Light, Black Spiders- Sons of the North, Slash- RnFNR, The Script- Science & Faith. Liking Avenged Sevenfold, Vintage Trouble, Rival Sons and Head Cat as well.

Must have been at the High Voltage Festival. Tonight at Leeds they were amazing, but they had 2 hours to impress in a decent venue. Bonamassa was sublime.

I've got Jamiroquai - Rock dust light star - in the car right now.
It's an MP3 disc and on it also lives Synkronized by the same artist and then the new Foo fighters album, linkin park collision course, reanimation and them from memory gym class heroes papercut chronicles and one or two others. Burnt a disc yet to go down which is just Skrillex, Nero, the prodigy discography and some grime mixes. If I'm "driving" I go for the drum and bass almost every time but if I'm driving, I like to go for rock or alt. Regardless of that I'd say my favourite genre is heavy metal... In flames, metallica, machine head, fear factory, static-x etc. Then I also go for some punk from time to time.. Bad religion, litmus green, meteors... fair to say my tastes are varied But it does come back to the dubstep/drum and bass quite regularly when I feel like pressing on

wow, i remember this stuff, must have been at least 15 years ago now. I had a mint Sasha 88 tape, i think from Shellys nightclub
Prized possession until the reel broke in my car. Nobdy could drop a whitney houston track over acid house like he could. Genius |

Absolutely, i went to the reunion party Daz Willot helped organised in a different club, obviously, but it was awesome. Instead of the car park PA altern8 played inside and Daz Willot played an awesome set with what looked like the original shellys whistle crew doing their thing on the speakers.
It was the best night i'd had in a long time. For the previous 5 years the nights were full of alcohol fuelled violence, most people were on pills that night but everyone was super friendly. A different world. They are still running some nights up north, Stu Allan another legend still doing them, back by dope demand. Nice name, that song was mental sped up.
