are you attached to your BMW!?
hello folks!
It has been a year that I have had my first bmw. and something is kind of interesting! I know it is getting older and next year the new design will hit the market (it is an E93). but the more we go the more I like it! I started this thread to hear about your story about your first bmw or several bmw's you have had. hope to hear nice stories!

I'm on my second BMW now. First was 04 325i and now an 06 330i. As long as I'm able to afford them I will be a bimmer rider for life. I honestly check e90post more than I do Facebook nowadays. There hasn't been a single day that I don't think about BMW's.

Got my first BMW 3 years ago (e90) and love the thing. I trade it in for my second BMW (F20) next week, because in 3 years I've had 2 dogs, and the dogs seriously need to get in the boot and off the back seats As previously stated, as long as I can afford, I will own one |

I can promise you I will never buy any vehicle other than a BMW ever again. I'm on my first BMW still but I have intentions on getting an X5 when my E90's motor goes. At that point I want to convert the E90 to a dedicated track car.
Even despite not being ridiculously fast (compared to a lot of cars in the price range at original MSRP), its such a ridiculously fun car to drive. I enjoy it a lot. I haven't ever felt like I've wasted money with this car. All my previous cars were Honda's, and they didn't feel as good when they aged despite good maintenance. |

Owning one of these machines makes you wonder if you wouldn't give it all up to be one with it. I'm really enjoying my beast, I go anywhere and everywhere, as long as I have good music, full tank, good road and me behind the wheel
I've tried to tone down a bit and wash my car 3 times a week from washing it 5 times a week I am so attached to this car....even my lunches are spent inside the car at work |

What can I say? I got my BMW as a DD, but kept my SUV for rainy days (I mean, literally. It does rain a lot around here!), so I wouldn't have to put my precious BMW throught and ordeal of flooded streets and filfthy water.
But since then, I've gotten to hate rain because it keeps me from driving the BMW. Some days I'd just sit around waiting for the rain to stop so I wouldn't have to drive the SUV. I just ran out of excuses to tell people about why I never drive the SUV anymore. Yeah, I love my BMW that much!. |

I'd like to think I'm attached to her. If I ever hit I bump, I tend to apologize and rub the dashboard. LOL...
And after a long days work, I'd drive the hell out of her on some curvy roads.

I wish I was more attached to mine than I am. I like the way it drives, and the sound system is the best I've ever had. But there is just something about the car that keeps me from really getting attached to it.
I've been a Volvo guy since 1985 (actually a Volvo family) and I really wanted an S60 R, but they just weren't the car that the 850 Turbo was. So my daughther talked us into going with with a BMW and we wanted AWD so I got the 330xi. I find that when I drive the BMW day in and day out I miss driving my Volvo. Switching from car to car is what I really don't like about the BMW. It's controls are just so diffferent than other cars and they are hard to get used to. Especially the climate control and the radio buttons. Who the hell ever decided to put twelve identical buttons across the front of the radio and the first six are for preset stations? And the next two are to switch from AM to FM and they feel the exact same as the preset stations. I don't even know what the other button are for, but they look the same as the other eight. Sounds fantatic though. The driving is great, best feel driving since I had a 911 Porsche. The responsiveness is plenty for me as I get older, but I wouldn't mind trying the 335 just to see the difference. I also find the bolsters on the seat to be a little tight and I wish they could be adjusted to not squeeze me so much, but this is something I get used to when I drive it every day.

They are nice cars, but just a car never the less..... For the money, I'm not sure what you could buy though that would be equivalent, so I do like it.

Did you purchase your BMW in another state and drive it back home; Because that is a ridiculous amount of mileage in just 2 days lol.
