dude... the 328 is a fast car. It's just slow in comparison to the rediculous N54.

I think something to be said about 328 owners not worrying about their HPFP going south every time they start the car.

328 is a great car.

+1

I had an E90 335i on order, then cancelled it after reading about the HPFP issue and went ahead with a E92 328i. To me it's worth it to have piece of mind that my fuel pump won't die at any time. Plus I'm not a fast and the furious wannabe.

Hey jackoff, maybe I wanted to save $7,000 and get a car that is more than competent for 99.9% of the daily driving I do. That $7,000 sure buys a lot of gas as well. Oh lets not mention that while I am out enjoying my 328, your 335 is in the shop getting taken apart by techs for a broken fuel pump. Grow the hell up and stop degrading other peoples cars in order to make up for your cars inadequacies. :finger:

How? I'm just pointing out to the smartass that my car is running fine while his is in the shop... I didn't take a shot at all 335s like he did at all 328s. If anything, the 328 is MORE car than I need. Most of my driving is in stop and go city traffic, so a Civic could do the job just the same.

I really don't get what the hell is up with all the interBMW hate that goes on here.

Calm down seminole. Does Sykno strike you as someone who is even nominally intelligent?

No need to get angry over one retard.

The 328 is still a great car. It shouldn't surprise you that it's not going to feel as fast as the 335 though.

Keep in mind, not everyone needs the extra power. How often do you really use it anyway?

328i is not as slow as some might think, at all! waste gaterattles, HPFP failures, lag issues. Compared to the awesome reliable and impressive throttle response and endless pull of the 328i engine, it a very good one and will appeal for many, especially with the lesser cost.

I was very close to getting a 335i having two turbo cars previously. I'm glad I went with the 328 -- it is pretty quick and the engine has been very reliable after 14.5K miles. That being said though, there is something special about that 335 engine and I do miss the rush of a turbo engine. It's freakin fast there's no doubt. It's all about what you value more...to each his own.

seminole why not save more and get a g35 or something if ur so worried about $$ jackoff its faster and luxurious . i didnt mean to come out and hate on you 328i drivers.. why not read and understand that i was simply asking a freaking question.. all u had to do was answer it in a respective way.. and prove me wrong that 328i's are worth its price

edit: read all the posts about people who have 328i's that test drove a 335i or drove as loaner and dont wanna go back.... why not drive a 335i and feel the difference urself.
-and $7000... u spent nearly 40k on the freaking car why not add just 7k more for a huge jump in performance

How many 328's would BMW sell if it was exactly the same price as the 335 - honestly there are lots of reasons to choose a 328 over a 335, mostly price, maybe some longevity etc, but if they where the same price and same reliability/longevity, how many people would choose a 328 and why?? Answers please!

Exactly the same reason why I chose the unreliable 335 over the 328. There is really no performance comparison between 328 and 335.

I too had to get my fuel pump changed 3 days ago. I guess one of the reasons for buying 328 is not to worry about being stranded due to fuel pump failures, though I seriously hope that with the new 3rd gen pump, the fuel pump failures are behind us.

If my aunt had a penis she would be my uncle.

Asking comparative questions with a lot of "ifs" in it is a bit pointless don't you think?

Of course money is a major component in all these and nobody says that choosing a 328 against a 335i if all else is equal makes sense.

But consider this, with a 7K difference you can take a bunch of high end driving classes and in fact use your 328 to its fullest potential.

Clearly outlines the type of a person you are... which is fine, I mean if we all were the same the world would be a pretty boring place to live.
