LCI and how to tell?

How do I know if my car is LCI or not? What are the differences between the two? Mine is a 2007 335i and I am looking into getting an M-Tech kit but the website has options for pre-LCI and LCI models. I'm confused!

yours is pre lci. but the easiest way for me to tell at a glance. is the hood. the lci has a V type thing in the lines.

LCI has led angels, and i think its for 2011+ coupes

LCI came on 2010+ models, therefore you are pre-LCI (Life Cycle Impulse). Google a picture of your car and a picture of a 2011, for example, and you'll see the headlights and taillights will differ, as well as the front bumper, mirrors and a couple other minor things. That is how you tell apart other than knowing the years in which it came.

And yes, only the 2011+ have the LED angels--even though the 2010 models got the LCI revision, the LEDs came only during 2011 and thereafter.

09-10' r LCI on E90's but 11' to present E92's are LCI.

this is only true for the E90 and E91. Not the E92/E92.

OP, if your coupe is model year 2007 to 2010, you have a pre-LCI. The differences are the tail lights, headlights, LED angel eyes vs. what you have, side mirrors (although the 2010 models already had these new side mirrors), front and rear bumpers, and sideskirts. If you have the m-tech kit, the front bumper for the kit is different as well on the LCI, but not the rest of the kit.

The easiest way to distinguish between pre-LCI and LCI upon sight is by looking at the headlights.

edit: I just realized that your reason for posting was to purchase an m-tech kit. In that case, you would want the pre-LCI, because the front bumpers will differ. The rear bumpers and sideskirts are the same (and diffusers are interchangeable so I'll ignore that) so if you are buying the kit piece by piece, this is good to know. If you are buying the full kit at once, opt for pre-LCI.
