No noticable change in operating temperature. Just the sweet smell of race gas!

That will help you MUCH more then it will help me. I just like that ride home when the car feels so smooth from the bump in octane.

^ I plan on changing mine today. I'm probably gonna get the cheap ones from a local auto store. Supposedly they're the same, just dif. serial numbers and without the BMW logos. Thoughts?

I'd like to hear how that goes, I think my car is still on the originals at 56k miles. I'm thinking I should change them before Bandimere since I'll be putting a Cobb on.

I have had a set from AutohausAZ sitting in my garage for a while....if they are the same, I don't see why you can't use them. Just compare when you take your others out to see that they are in fact the same.

I can't recall if I have ever had mine changed out...I want to say no, but I just can't remember. I am at 40k miles (after 5+ years of ownership).

Just plan on changing, can't hurt, and worse case scenario you get in there, the existing plugs still look good, and you leave them in and keep the others till you need it. If you are at 56k though on an N54/N55, you will probably need them.

I'm at 57k. Last time I got my plugs changed was at 41k. Nevermind about the getting plugs from a local auto store. They're all out of Bosch for our cars. I called schomp and gebhart. They will price match getbmwparts.com. on my way to pick them up npw

Good to know they'll price match, hopefully will do that on other parts too. Hmmm, sales tax vs Tischer high handling/shipping fees.

$17.90 each plus tax from gebhart. No shipping fee. even with the sales tax, gebhart is still cheaper by $10.

Got all plugs out. Fyi, if any of you need to change the plugs yourself, don't bother buying the plugs from BMW. You can buy them from a local auto store or autohausaz for a lot cheaper. They're the dame exact plugs with the same serial numbers!

Wow!!! We will have a lot of people going this year! Make sure no one backs out at the last minute. So, plan ahead, guys.

Sid, you've been added to the fun people list

My car ran smooth last night after I changed the plugs. Hopefully it will stay this way forever (or at least until I need new plugs again).
