DETAILING - Jet Black E92 - Stage I & II - Pics

After seeing some other threads with folks detailing their cars, I figured it was due time for me to detail my car, call it my Spring Full Detail ! Thanks everyone for the motivation

My car was COVERED in imperfections due to the winter here in Canada, so it is a LOT of work to get it back to state where I'm proud to show it off.

Without further adue, here are the details, pics.

Stage I & II complete.
1.) Wash Entire Car - Poorboy's World Super Slick & Suds w/Sheepskin Wash Mitt (30 minutes)
2.) Dry Entire Car - DI Microfiber Waffle Weave Drying Towel (30 minutes)
Note: MANY Microfiber towels were used along the way - DI Microfiber All Purpose Towels
3.) Clay Bar entire car - Clay Magic Fine Grade & Poorboy's World Spray & Wipe (5 Hours)
4.) Polish Entire car - Menzerna PO106FA Nano Polish, Orange Cutting pad on Porter Cable 7424 (7 hours)

Yes, That is all I have done so far, so keep that in mind when looking at the pics ! The car is essentially "Stripped" at the moment.

Stage III - Still to come: (More pics to follow)
5.) Hand Glaze Car - Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze (Now Complete)
6.) Hand Seal Car - Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket (Requires 24 hours of "settle time" before Wax)
7.) Hand Wax Car - Poorboy's World Natty's Blue Paste Wax
8.) Wheel Dressing - Poorboy's World Bold 'n Bright

So, here are Stage I & II Pictures:

IMO an orange pad is a bit too aggressive for 106ff, and way too agressive to finish off. I would recommend using SIP with an orange pad, followed by 106ff with a white pad and finally finished with 85rd on a gray pad. Detailing is all about the prep work, sealants and waxes are just there to protect the finish and give it that extra pop.

Ah, I love JB details.

Looks like you got amazing results there, the car looks great! Nice reflections too.

Really looking forward to seeing part 3. Keep us posted!

I agree 328i ... I'm an amateur but generally get it whe it comes to detailing. My mid-summer detail will include the steps you mentioned. I will look into the other products as well.

As for the Orange Pad and 106ff , I personally get excellent results everytime, however I'm sure it can always be better.

Thanks for the tips, always appreciated.
