I intend to go back and redyno. I realized (after) that when I last dyno'd, my tires were very low in pressure. Not sure how that would affect the outcome, but just so that we're comparing like pulls, I'd like to have it rechecked.

This is not too difficult to install. Just four bolts attach the throttle body to the intake manifold.

Just out of curiosity -- and i don't see why it would pose any problems (but just to make sure), will this mod work flawlessly with other intakes? i.e. GruppeM or something else...

Lastly, in regard to the ECU's ability to learn and adapt, after the application of these mods -- do we have to reset the ECU (i.e. disconnect the battery)?

I know it's ideal for you to do this after all mods, but just wondering...

Fascinating!

I also find the electronically driven oil & H2O pump techno wizardry....Did the E46 engines include this as well?

Matt your a good technical resource

why dont you just post your dyno results with your screwed up tires-that does not effect a dyno time unless your tires were completely flat-either way will give us some idea. They must have been no better or else ya woulda posted them

I am wondering what you think of the throttle body... I read most of the posts dated a few years back, but they started to lose me.

Is it worth buying? and how much gain did you see?

I have an afe intake, scoops, and bms pbx. stock exhaust.

wondering if the throttle body will help with throttle response, sound of the exhaust, and gain any hp or tq.

p.s. if you have a dyno I would love to see it

I think it'd be cool to see a slide throttle body for the N52. The main trouble with a Slide throttle is part thottle performance but with a throttle that defaults to open, all of the advantages would be there, less restriction for a given TB size, resulting in higher intake velocity, and hopefully more power.

Not sure anyone's still watching this thread, it's over 2 years old.

If you want to know what will fit your car from Dinan, look here.
