Seems like those Silly Philly folks want to have it in their backyard, so I'm throwing my hat in the ring and suggesting Bethpage State Park, home of the 2002 & 2009 US Open. It's literally in my backyard! (OK, across the street)

Suggestion - it won't be possible to get consensus on date/location from a group of this size. Recommend that you put a stake in the ground and set the meet, with sufficient advanced notice so people can plan ahead.

Also, the July 1st thru 8th window should be avoided (people take vacations that week, and as luck would have it we move into our new house that week too).

The weather is best in May - perhaps 05/20 or 05/27?

The NJ state park looks good. I had brought up VF National Park because it is also centrally located, but probably too close to home for us Philly guys.

There should be some activity in addition to the meet and photo op. Perhaps a short drive/rally and a lunch at an area restaurant.

I agree with JackMac... perhaps we three could be the planning committee, since we are doing most of the thinking on it. May 20 is no bueno for me, but I could do the 27th. I didn't suggest that before because that is Memorial Day weekend.

Honestly I have no problems with a June or July date either, but we should narrow it to two or three possibles and post a poll. Based on the response to the poll we can select the best date.

Actually, looks like maybe a meet and huge party at JackMac's new house might be just the ticket!!
