Charging Malfunction Error... HELP PLEASE
Hey guys, my 335i just got a "Charging malfunction" error. Directly after receiving the error, I lost power steering and AC in my car. I am thinking that this may have something to do with the alternator cable connection to the battery.
Any ideas? and if I am correct does anyone have a DIY guide? thanks for your help in advance! |

The engine accessory drive belt is broken. You need to be careful that it did not get wrapped behind the driveshaft balancer (pulley) and ingested into the timing chain cover. Do not drive the car.

Do NOT drive it. Don't even turn the engine on to drive up the tow truck if you want to take it somewhere.
Here's a not very detailed DIY post #13. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=808136 |
