Has anyone logged this side-by-side an aftermarket wideband yet?

Now that they have the a/f lean protection in place, It's one step closer for the nitrous integration!!

On the procede AFR or the aftermarket wideband? The video I saw showed a sample rate of like 7 hz and was considerably different than what the procede was showing. Remember the tune is cooking the heck of the wideband, so it must apply some type of correction to give you an output. Unless you test this against an aftermarket wideband, you have no clue what you are looking at.

This is why integration of an aftermarket wideband is king.

Well I guess once the jb3 comes out with their a/f functionality you can be the first to test it out and see the comparison of the two

Yes, it is almost dead on with my Autometer Wideband Lambda gauge.

A nice thing with the Procede's AFR monitoring is that both cylinder banks are monitored, which will facilitate a good safety feature for N2O.

That is not fair. I am simply asking a fair question and there is no need to start a flame war over that.

As far as I heard, the JB4 will allow an aftermarket wideband to be logged. That is what I would prefer as I feel it is the only reliable way to monitor AFR. Do we know of anyone in the procede camp that has an aftermarket wideband to test this against?

Good point that it takes readings from both banks which makes it more of a safety in case one of the sensors decides to go south

Ahhh, so you have logged both? Do you have logs you can post of both in the same RPM band. That would be good to see. If indeed they are identical, then this is a very good feature!

No you have me read all wrong. I am just stating once Jb comes out with their a/f functionality you will be able to test it Not trying to start anything. Not too many people have a/f monitors at the moment and I don't think in the future either

If one sensor goes bad then the car will throw a CEL.

I did check the AFR with the Autometer on one of the DP's only but at the same RPM's since I looked at the Autometer gauge and the Procede's (near) real time AFR presentation at the same time. I'm confident is works OK.

The Autometer gauge is not installed in the car, I borrowed it from my bike for this test. The gauge has been checked to be dead on with the AFR instrument at a reputed dyno center.

BTW, the bike produce 183 whp

When you are talking about small fractions of a second to protect you for things like nitrous, I am sure you can understand my curiousity.

Do you have logs you can post or just CSV data? I am very curious about this obviously as it would make things a lot easier.

I understand your curiosity and know you have a professional solution in your car.

I posted the log in the first post. If I had know the outcome would have been debated I could have taken a video of the Procede user menu screen and the Autometer gauge at the same time. But you can take my word for what I'm saying. I was curious myself, hence I did the compare.

If you PM me your email I can send you the csv data if you don't make the file public or comment the data in publicity. It reveals too much of the cars status in front of upcoming events.

Edit, I checked the csv file and the sampling rate is about 30 times per second. I think this is what Shiv has already said.

Send me a pm and we can chat more.

I am not so much curious in the sample rate, but how the correction factor operates under certain conditions. If this was simply an informative log, then who cares, but with nitrous you absolutely need an accurate reading.

It's temporarily mis-labelled as CAN Knock and CAN Cool Temp till the upcoming upgrade of the Procede user software.
