Chrome Book - new cheaper one
What are your thoughts?
I spend most of my time online and fancy a new laptop. For £220 the new Chrome Book appeals. It still comes with 16GB of off line storage so you can still use it (albeit in a limited way) when off line. Anyone got a Chrome Book? What do you think of it? http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/18/g...book-hands-on/

Sounds like a piece of crap to me. For its price its not bad. But the performance is terrible, it can't run anything that isn't web based and the battery life isn't even all that good.

From what I've seen, the performance looks good actually - it doesn't have to do much, just run a browser.
I find myself in Chrome all the time anyway when on the PC so it's all I need really. But, the whole concept could be a little ahead of it's time seeing as not everywhere has an internet connection.
