Oil changer warned of hot oil pan gasket
Should I heed his warning? Is there a way to check if it's really going to cause some potential damage to my car? I looked around and saw the price of changing it was around $900+ which isn't too bad if it's worth changing at the moment.

The oil pan gasket shouldn't leak, it's designed to last the lifetime of the engine. And if you have an oil temp guage, notice that 250F is a normal temp, which is indeed "hot". |
