How to check CIC Version?
I'm planning to do a map update on my 2010 E90 LCI. I have read on the Internet that only cars built after 03/2010 can do map update via USB/ DVD.
Mine was built 12/2009 and would like to know where can I check is my CIC version was updated between these years as I recall I went into the dealer and did some kind of system update and got few extra features afterwards. Is it possible to check via NCSExpert, Tools32, Reingold...etc? Please advise. Thanks |

It'll be fine. Both my 2009s update maps via USB in the glovebox and DVD drive on the CIC itself.

Easiest way to verify is to do this...
1. Go into navigation 2. Pull up the map screen 3. When you have the map screen up push down on the idrive controller. If pushing down hides/un-hides the grey info boxes on the map screen you can update via usb. |
