I am having the transmission 'clunk' immediately after ignition problem. Do you guys think it is safe to only update the EGS module without updating the DME/ECU? All the modules have 2008 SW date, so they have never been updated since the car came from factory.

That will be fine but this is most likely not a software issue. Sounds like a solenoid issue.

OK, I have now updated the EGS module, should I reset some adaptions after that?

No adaption reset needed after flashing. It's already done.

Ok thanks!

Can somebody link me a charger that would be ideal for using when flashing modules in my car, I have brand new BMW AGM battery and managed to flash the EGS module in 2 minutes, maybe a bit risky but Next would be to flash the DME/DDE module and I suppose that will take much longer.

Most people on here will recommend the Schumacher INC-700a. It's a good balance between quality and price. You'll struggle to find anything as good for cheaper.

What do you think of this one? http://www.hamradio.co.uk/accessorie...psu-pd-702.php

Is this okay at 13.8V for a AGM battery?
