Hi guys, so i've been lurking around for some time now and basically never posted. I have 18.9.5+22 apex wheels all around. Running squared setup instead of staggered because of the awd. Yes i do realize i can do staggered because all i need would be the same rolling diameter front and back.
My current setup is 225/45/18 with 18x9.5+22 apex wheels. 225/45 for more meat on the tires for NYC roads. It does rub the splash guards when turning full lock in the front. I do want to maybe grab wider wheels in the rear, maybe 18x10 or 10.5 but im scared about the rolling diameter being different. I do plan on having a mild stretch so i would imagine that would play a little bit in the height difference. How would one actually calculate the height of a stretched tire or is the difference so minimal that it wouldn't matter? Thanks in advance ( i would post pics of my ride but i'm not sure how to upload pics. it says my picture is too big and the site couldn't resize my pictures. What is the easiest way to do so?) |

Will a 19x9 (choosing a square set up) work up front on my awd e92?
I'm looking at ferrada fr4's.. 19x9. Any idea on tire size or offsets? A lot of these pictures in this thread no longer show |

The wheels will fit it’s all going to depend on how low you are and the offset you’d like. For tire size it’s going to be based on how wide you want to go front. I run a 9.5 up front on a 235 and my offset is 20. There is more than enough room in the rear so don’t worry about that.

I'm so conflicted. I'm currently running a 19x9.5 with 265/30/19 with H&R coilovers. I've been running these for 3 years now and want a change. I love the look of 19s but I absolutely hate the tire options for them. I've been considering 18s but a lot I see are a hit or miss imo but tire options are extremely better.

What was your setup? I feel my suspension is my biggest issue. My front is down all the way and my rear still can go lower.

That pic was with KW V3. All factory camber alignment. Rear fenders were pulled a bit.

So, I have a new airlift rear kit that I'm installing this weekend and re-speced my wheels.
19x10 +25 19x11 +23 is what I'll be running.

Amazing looking E92, props...
I'm looking at buying some rims that are 18x9.5F 18x11R +25 all around. I'm wondering, will your tire set up when you had the 18s work for this application without rubbing even though offsets are slightly off are rear tire is wider? I would love your insight. Also, did you rub at all during hard cornering or spirited driving? Or possibly at full lock? |

Many thanks for this thread. Very informative!
I'm going to get a set of 19x8.5 et30 wheels (squared set) but I'm seriously worry about the rubbing issue at the front passenger side (2008 e92 335xi with eibach pro-kit & koni FSD). I did a lot of measurements by myself and I'm pretty sure 235/35r19 will work flawlessly, but I'd like to get a bit more side wall to protect the rims. I think I'll just get a set of 245/35r19.... If the front rubs, I'll start with adding more negative camber, and then maybe some trimming at the front. Again, thanks a lot for all the information! |

The fronts will fit fine. I have never rubbed in the front even with 19x10 +25 on 235. Or even on 18x9.5 +22 on 245. If you want zero chance of rubbing on the rear, I'd suggest 19x9.5 with offset between 26-32 You can use 265/30/19 on those.

So whats the difference in width of the rears on a 335i vs a 335d? I'm about to get a set of wheels ( 18x 8.5 and 18 x 9.5 20 offset ) hoping for a similar look as you have in these pics
