Saving saving saving. Should be able to make my next watch purchase by my Bday in 4 months.

Considering Panerai, IWC, Tag, Omega, Sinn, maybe a no-date Sub.

I have to see how different watches fit on my wrist. Might even get a left handed watch, as my Sub crown leaves a mark on my wrist.

Went to pick up my watch the yesterday, had to cross the border to the US, and got stuck there for about 2 hours because they forgot about me and lost my keys and passport. and this is after they took me inside to question me and make me empty my pockets. All because i'm young and drive a BMW.

I took it as a sign and went back home, I'm now making new arrangements for my watch to be shipped a little closer to home and to a different border where i can work the stories to my benefit a little better.

next time i drive my jeep or take my mom across and make her drive. (and no, i don't live with my parents, I'm a 30 year old man Which just makes this whole search me because i'm "young" and drive a bmw thing all that much more embarrassing.

Thanks. I fell in love with it when I saw it. I want to get an Omega, but my wallet can't handle it right now.

it's a commemorative of the original moon landing as the speedmaster professional was the first watch in space and tested by NASA to be the best at timing when the missions were taking place.

most of the other "professional"s have on them markings on the back case notifying of the NASA stuff, or pictures of the moon lander and etc, but this one has a little extra.

it's a nice choice. They retain value better then most of the other omega's out there as well, so if you do tire of the professionals, people are always looking for them.

they tend to be about 42mm, which to todays standards is a bit smaller, but it makes for a very classy size. Good for formal wear as well as every day wear.

it wears very nicely, I have large wrists, and have tossed one on a few times (still haven't purchased yet... Have others i want first) it's not over stated, won't draw too much unwanted attention other then from people who know about them. Looks good, and keeps great timing according to NASA

A couple shots of my TAG Cailbre 16 Chrono. Largest impulse purchase I've ever made haha, but I absolutely LOVE it. Now I'm looking at getting another one with a sportier look; maybe an Aquaracer with a rubber strap? Also like the IWC Aquatimer. I'm open to suggestions!

My every-day watch is an Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow GMT, which I bought a year and a half ago to keep company with my 40-year-old Omega Speedmaster Mark II. These watches are works of art.

finally got my hands on my watch

so how it works is the face semi detaches and flips over to show a different time zone, luminesent hands and numbers, and a day/night indication. while the main side has no luminescence but has the date and seconds.

the finish on the watch in person is stunning, I'm very happy with the purchase and look forward to many years with this piece.

Very VERY Nice!!!

I am considering getting the same exact model. Which model exactly is yours? I've looked and there's many versions, but i like yours a lot. Is it the largest version?

it`s the Grande Reverso Duo It's the medium sized one. I find the large ones just don't fit the wrist quite the way I like. And that's saying something because i'm a big guy who that should work on.

I did try the classic on, but it was so tiny on me it looked like i was putting on a womens watch, which is unfortunate because I absolutely love it's simplicity and elegance. I would recommend trying it on to see if you like it, but if you're a big guy, it's not going to work.

Model number is the 3748421 which gave me the black aligator strap

I debated getting the one with the round second hand insert, but i just didn't feel it worked on a rectangualrly shaped watch.

here's a review of the watch I picked up, except this one's gold.

also interestingly the reviewer doesn't particularly like the date window on it, and i've had lots of people express to me that they like it.

I dont recall, pic was taken 2 years ago at a local Sunday car show(gathering) at the beach. A 30's or 40's coupe I think.

just found a better shot of it in another album of mine.
