Tyre pressures....

Sorry to bring another tyre pressure topic up again but.....i,m having a bad day...

sorry the plate on the car says 2.6 bar front and 3.1 bar rear, which seems very high? (37psi and 45psi)

The car is a 2006 325 saloon 225/45 17" 91w runflats.

Thanks.

The plate doesn't lie.

Go with the upper end of the pressures too, filling when cold.

My fronts are the same size. Off my door jamb plate pressures, towards the lower end of the scale gives me 30psi (2.1). I run the 255 rears at 32.

The higher part of the range allows for 5 adults and a boot full of suitcases!! I rarely take more than a couple of passengers and virtually never carry lugage. This seems fine to me.

IMO, some people seem to want to over-inflate non-RFT's to replicate the feeling of a RFT?

I beleive we will find BMW increased pressures across some models, as the original settings (2005/6) were too low for RFTs. The increased pressures even out the wear, a little.
