Miami Area BMW Centers for Service?
I'd like to get the MOST - BUS iPod Interface adapter installed on my '07 328i and shopped a couple of dealers around for a price. Vista BMW wanted $800 and so did South Motors BMW so it seems that this is what it's going to cost anywhere. If I am paying this much for the install, I'd like to take it where people have had good service experiences. I'm willing to go anywhere in Dade or Broward so who has a good dealership that they like? Even better, who's your favorite Service Advisor? Are any of the local dealers more performance mod "friendly"? If anyone else has gotten this installed after the fact what did YOU pay?
I know there have been other "best dealer in SoFla" threads before, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has had this thing installed before and see where it went the smoothest, best price and SA referral. |

The MOST iPod adapter requires a progman update/retrofit coding to the computer so it can work with the iDrive from what I've gathered here and only a stealership can do that.

I am not familiar with this MOST iPod adapter. Is this like a retrofit of the USB adapter in the post-March 07 models or something? Or is it like the "old" iPod adapter where the iPod cable is in the glove compartment? I had that one in my M3 and it worked great, except could not see the songs playing on the screen.
Any info would be appreciated. I would be interested in doing it, too.

It's like the "old" system you described. The adapter goes into the glove compartment but you're supposed to be able to navigate your ipod through the idrive if you have it. The USB option (6FL) can only be done by the factory. I'm getting mine installed this coming monday.
