Guarantee you my car is rarer than an M-Sport. Monaco Blue + Chestnut interior (I'd have bought the M Sport, had it been available on a '10, but I do have the M wheels (style 193) from an E92 off the dealer lot).

Nice combo. That's one of my favorites.

lost sleep over decision to get SG over Lemans and BlueWater. Loved all three. But given my 140 mile, daily roundtrip commute, the deciding factor was being able to blend into traffic better in the SG. (I drive fast!)
Anyway, in my daily commute, I see about 2-3 335d Msports a week. Mostly blacks, whites, some Lemans, only seen one SG and only one Blue Water. This is over course of 13 months. The white and blue ones tend to be in the northbay. The black and gray in East Bay. Little odd. |

I do see a lot more 335i msports. Many in SG and Lemans. I always try to get close when I see one, just to see if it is a 'd' or 'i'.

I'd say the M-sport 335d is pretty rare. I've probably only seen 4 other ones on the road. I see e90 M-sports everywhere though.. on the freeway, parking lots, bmwcca auto-x's. I also had a alpine white 328i m-sport loaner from crevier service. So far mine has been the only one I've seen with no front license plate drilled into it.

That is mine too. Don't worry though, you will need to drive far to see mine. My dealer intercepted it destined for another province. I like it a lot.

Is there a difference between having a
335d with the sport package and a 335d M sport? Mine is a 2011 Saphire Black with Dakota black interior 18" wheels and the invoice says sport package (in the summer ). If they are not the same, what is the difference?
Thanks and happy holidays |

I've been on the lookout for a 335d M Sport over the past 5 months or so and havn't seen many for sale. The ones that I saw didn't have the options that I'm looking for

Loved the idea of the diesel and all the torque.
the lemans blue sucked me in. The msport front bumper and rear valence in combination with the 193s gave me the slightly more unique look I desired. I've been in love since driving it home. I just wish my state didn't have the worst f'ng tax on diesel fuel.

Got my '10 D (Non M Sport) in Nov 2009!
So far I've driven over 60,000 Miles (100,000 KM) without any issues. It's now out of warranty but I intend to drive it till it drops! Would have love to have an M Sport which come out in 2011. Perhaps may consider installing the M Sport kits available on eBay. |
