Yellow pads on my 335d. Forget what discs though. Never had a problem with squeaking. Been on well over 2 years and just had serviced and they are worn 10% only. That's down to the easy life the car gets I suspect. The brake dust is way better after putting the yellows on also. I think the yellows need some sort of bedding in strategy.

Would definitely use again but at 10% wear they will last me another 8 years at least.

Ive read somewhere that the yellow is better compound for braking but gives more dust than the red stuff. I am not going to any race days etc so I think red stuff would be fine. Regarding the brake discs you are saying that both kinds are fine ?

Thanks

Hey guys,

Front and rear red stuff pads when 30% discounted here worked out £90 for me. When delivery charges are to be added I think it will be around £100.

On eBay I found the same full set for around £110 delivered. I will write to the seller so I can pay as a gift to lower the total price. This should work out the same amount as discounted here, around £100 delivered. Here you are :

Front :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008477509...84.m1423.l2649

Rear :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2708313060...84.m1423.l2649

WHen it comes to buying EBC brake discs at £300 for front and rear 30% discount is well worth it and such price can't be found anywhere else.

I heard the discs are utter crap... Bit worried about them. Too many stories of warped discs within 1000 miles.

Total. £199.11. Not what you found. £221.24

If my figures our right the price less 30% is £140 not £154.87
Sorry I haven't been on in a while, on holiday currently. I'll try to come on more often. Please see below for an explanation of prices which hopefully is clearer. The deal is 30% off the Recommended Retail Price. To find the RRP of any pads or disks that interest you, visit that link i posted in the OP and enter your reg. You will get something like this:

The prices in the blue circles are the RRP of Yellowstuff pads for a 335 EXCLUDING VAT. So total EXCL VAT is £192.67. Add VAT and its £231.20. And finally after the 30% discount it comes to £161.84 INCL VAT.

This is different to the price i quoted in my first post. I think i must have got the prices wrong or something, but looking at the page above the prices should be correct now. I will edit my first post with these figures. Sorry for the confusion.

However i'm not really sure where you got these prices from:

Was it in that same column i have highlighted?

Mate its 30% of the RRP, not the price EBC sell it for

So for those pads, the RRP EXCL VAT is £123.78, add VAT its £148.54 and take 30% off its £103.98.

this.

hope you guys are actually paying attention to this with the group buy. Or I promise you'll be kicking yourself lol.

So many look to be excited to buy, but not paying attention to the reviews.

I would never again purchase EBC Rotors. The Red Stuff pads and ATE Super Blue Brake fluid I bought last year have been absolutely perfect. Will probably run the same on all my cars from now on.

Ahhhh so its RRP we are looking at, caused so much confusion lol ! :P

I am in then, well worth it and a bit vheaper than eBay prices in this case

FRONT (DP31493C) + REAR (DP31577C) red stuff pads for 320d E90 please.

I hope we can order soon as doing service on teh car soon so would like these asap please

Josh if you say the discs are crap then Ill leave it. Anyway Performance BBK or 335 setup is going on our car this year hopefully.

Regarding the pads, Ive heard the red stuff produces least amount of brake dust. Thats why I wanna get them. The car is everyday car, not racetrack etc...

Cheers !!!

PS. Works out £88.90 for my request when 30% discounted from RRP. What delivery costs do you expect both when they dispatch it to you and then you to us ?

Indeed.

The EBC slots are shite.

I measured run-out (wobble) on new EBC slots that EXCEEDED the BMW oem guideline.

Foolishly I installed them anyway, and 2k later the DTV was so bad it shook the car apart.

Utter wank, and I for one would strongly suggest you avoid the discs.

They are VERY noisy too....

The new generation of Yellowstuff is very good, and I worked it hard on track with no issues.

The is NO POINT buying Redstuff for the front of a car like the 335.
It's not an upgrade and is barely equal to OEM.

HTH

More importantly... How is the feel of the yellow whilst cold... After an early cold morning start?
A lot of my journeys are short and do not allow enough time for my pads to warm up (I definitely do go for the spirited drive often)so initial bite is very important.

Josh, i think you should go for coolcarbons. I am currently running it with my stage 1 + 335i with SS hoses and DOT 4 performance fluid. Initial bite is great, low brake dust and i don't have any noise at all. I push my brakes quite hard and i am happy to run them again, but when i purchased my set i got stung by import tax which pushed the cost to around £300 pounds for front and rear set.

I'm looking to run EBC yellows for the summer but i need to find out a good set of disc to replace my current wrapped ones.

I do a lot of short trips, even cold (-2 temp) the bite from yellow stuff pads are a lot bette than stock. Been using yellow stuff pads for 4 years, have no complaints at all.

+1

I found the same.

Yellowstuff are great even in sub-zero, they are better than oem in all conditions.

Good pricing here guys, for a decent pad set.
