HELP: Did my body shop install my Mtech Front Bumper Correct?
Hey Guys,
Can those with Mtech front bumper please take a picture underneath their car where the adapter piece connects with the front bumper in the middle. Looks like mine has a gap vertically and I want to make sure the body shop installed it correctly. Basically the plastic shield goes through the back of the front bumper in the middle bottom area rather that connecting to the edge and being flushed in the middle. There are pre drilled holes also that aren't connecting to anything. Here are some pics underneath.

Did you buy the M-Tech undercarriage guard? It's a separate piece and does not come with the M-Tech kit.

The adapter piece came with the kit from Tischer. I just want to confirm that that piece isn't installed here before I go back to the body shop. I gave them all the pieces.

I think your referring to part "CD" Power Unit Bottom guard on page 6 of the kit install here.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...41#post1007441 The kit did come with Part "CE" on Page 6. I think that's the part that's suppose to be flushed with the bumper, but as you see in my pics there not. Would like to see other peoples install. Or is this correct install with the retrofit kit? Which doesn't make sense to me if they give you the adapter piece, if your not going to use it. I didn't order that part though that your refering too. So is my understanding that if I don't order that part then the bottom will not be flushed with the bumper and secured in that fashion? i.e. My body shop did install it correctly? Seems odd that the kit would include part number 11 (diagram below) if its not needed.

You need a new PART #2 for PART#11 to sit correctly

I'm having mine installed this week at the dealership's body shop. When I get it back, I will compare and let you know if it looks the same.

it looks like in the 1st post those are the non mtech bottom plastic pieces bc the mtech ones are a little longer. doesn't look too bad so if u want to save a few hundred dollars and not get the mtech ones and reuse your oem ones, it will also work.
