after having the car nine month finally figured how to connect the phone to the car i have a samsung galaxy s2 and had been unable to connect to the car even had the nephew have a go as he is a bit of a techno geek but to no avail, wife picks me up from work today and tells me her phone is connecting to the car (same phone) turns out when u make a phone call have it connected via the headset and it will come thru the speakers, haven't checked to see if it pairs the contacts yet will try that tomorrow but happy for now i know some people have had the same problem as myself so hopefully this may help
