PCN- Help!

Ok so yesterday decided to go Fulham to have dinner and parked the car in a coucil parking bay. The enforced hours are til 8PM and i was there at 7.45pm. I saw the mother flopper on his moped( the enforcer) , so i waited until he was gone because the charging hours were almost finish and i saw the guy left ,plus the machine on does minimum of half hours meters so i thought i just leave it and should be fine. TO MY SURPRISE the A$$Hole actually left and turned around and gave all of us a penalty charge notice. It stated the ticket was issued at 7.53PM.

Any help or suggestion guy's?

I'm thinking of collecting a bucket of shit and wait on the same day and time and threw at him now.

I feel your pain, I used to live in Fulham and know exactly how sneaky these guys can be, but I doubt you'll get anywhere trying to get out of paying the ticket as from what you say, it seems like your bang to rights.

As for the bucket of shit, sounds like a plan, please record and post it please

You should have just paid the half hour rather than taking the risk, costly error. Unfortunately it will be very hard to raise any decent defense as you were still in the chargeable period when you parked.

thanks bud!

I don't mind paying but it's the principle that mofo deliberately turned around and gave us a ticket.

Stopping a 1/4 on a bus stop with my engine still running for 1m40sec (taken from the CCTV they provided) in Hampton Hill, Middx cost me £55 a while ago ... they allow nothing ... you are guilty - just pay it ... and resent them. They are used to it !!

You don't really have any argument.

It doesn't really matter that the guy returned around or not.

You were caught without a ticket during operating hours. It is that clear cut sadly.

They do this all the time near uni, at 450pm a chap will quickly wizz around looking for people who haven't paid up till 5pm. I got done once for having 1 wheel in a loading zone at 2am for 30 minutes. Its annoying but I was stupid enough to give them a reason to issue a ticket.

You gambled. You lost

Your failure was in not calculating the odds....e.g save £1.00, fine £60.00 odds of 60:1....certainly not worth the risk

Driving in the UK and parts of Europe, there're the hunters and their prey. The hunters uses all sorts of snares, traps, baits and hides to catch their prey, the unwary motorist. As prey, your job is to spot the traps and avoid them. Put a toe in the wrong place and 'zap', they've got you.

'Plain clothes' police cars

Parking pay machines

UK has a 'big government, big stick' mentality endorsed by voters so the only sensible strategy is to put your energy and money into avoiding the traps they've laid.

The enforcer waited until clock off time to finish his shift, no dirty tricks there as far as I can see. Yes maybe he went away but could have been doing a check on another site and returned.

How much money were you attempting to save when you did this?

Lol i forgot to mention i did not have enough change in my car. it cost 2.40 an hour and minimum you can buy is half an hour which was at 1.40. I only had 1.10 or something and the rest of the coin box was with useless coppers and 5p's...

Why would you go to a pay and display carpark without knowing you had enough cash, did you ever intend paying?

I agree traffic wardens and enforcers can be c***ts but as someone mentioned above they need the driver to give them the opportunity to fine them and you did this on a plate.
